Cary

What Makes Cary So Cool

People can't get enough of Cary. A large community with a small-town feel, Cary boasts some of the Triangle's top employers, sought-after shopping centers, fantastic festivals, and more. Even better, Cary is a "testing ground" of sorts for new amenities in our area: the Triangle's first Publix debuted at Bradford Shops, the Triangle's only Dave & Buster's made its home in Cary Towne Center, and the Triangle's future IKEA location is set for Cary just off of I-40.

Downtown Cary

Boutiques, unique restaurants, a 1940s-era movie theater, and a pharmacy with its own lunch counter are all packed into one square mile in the heart of Cary. With recent streetscape improvements, Downtown Cary has become the place to spend quality time with the neighbors and explore the town's rich past; historic points of interest like The Cary Theater and the former Cary Academy building (now the Cary Arts Center) have been wonderfully preserved. While you're downtown, stop for lunch at Ashworth Drugs, browse the shelves of the Cary Library, take a stroll through the new Downtown Park, and finish your evening with a beer at Crosstown Pub & Grill.

Crossroads Shopping Center

Cary residents have their pick of excellent shopping destinations, but Crossroads is by far the best. It's easy to get to, thanks to its ideal location off US-64 and I-40, and it features almost any restaurant and department store you can imagine. Best Buy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Marshalls, Old Navy, Target, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Ruby Tuesday, and other shopping and dining must-haves are located in the Crossroads Plaza shopping area, while Kohl's, PetSmart, Carolina Ale House, and BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse are a few of the options located across the street in the Centrum at Crossroads shopping center.

Thomas Brooks Park

Because of Cary's amazing amenities and easy access to both Raleigh and Research Triangle Park, the town has grown tremendously in the past few decades. The up-and-coming West Cary area, in particular, is where you can find a myriad of new homes, new shopping centers, and new parks. One of West Cary's newest amenities is Thomas Brooks Park, where sports fans and outdoor adventurers alike can find something fun to do. With multiple sports fields, a playground, picnic areas, a trail, and the state-of-the-art USA Baseball National Training Complex, Thomas Brooks Park is one of the most popular (if not one of the best) parks in the entire Cary area!
