Inside The Beltline (or "ITB" to the locals) encompasses everything inside the I-440 loop, or Beltline, around Raleigh; more specifically, Inside The Beltline includes Downtown Raleigh and the historic neighborhoods surrounding it. Here, you'll find a plethora of 18th- and early 19th-century homes, condominiums, custom-built properties, and some new construction.

Haywood Hall & Gardens

Built in 1799 and still standing on its original foundations, Haywood Hall is the oldest home within Raleigh's original city limits. It boasts a long history of entertaining distinguished guests; in fact, in 1825 it was visited by the Marquis de Lafayette! Today, Haywood Hall serves as an event venue that is popular for weddings, luncheons, and private parties.

Cameron Village Shopping Center

Cameron Village Shopping Center, located just a stone's throw away from NC State University's campus, has been an Inside The Beltline landmark since the 1950s. Today, this revitalized shopping center boasts everything from grocery stores to upscale restaurants to massive antique shops. Cameron Village is where you'll also find the Cameron Village Regional Library.

Historic Oakwood

Oakwood is one of seven local historic districts located inside the Beltline (the others being Blount Street, Boylan Heights, Capitol Square, Moore Square, Prince Hall, and Glenwood-Brooklyn). Homes in this 19th-century neighborhood were developed between 1880 and 1930, and because of their charm and location, they remain popular to this day. This neighborhood celebrates its rich history every year through its annual Candlelight Tour and Garden Tour & Victorian Tea event.
